To provide the perfect setting, what could be better than a building full of character, with its own history, retaining the features and furniture of its own period.
The Talbot provides all the ingredients, added individuality and charm for your day, our professional, caring staff are on hand at all times to make sure that your big day goes off without a hitch, whether it’s a small affair or a grand society occasion.
Menus
Our Wedding Breakfast menus are below; we will gladly discuss other options and requirements including special diets and vegetarian meals.
Bar and Drinks
We have a recommended choice of drinks for your reception. Private bar facilities are available; your drinks may be charged to wedding account or served on a cash basis.
Wines
Our excellent and extensive wine list is available for you to make your choice from. You may supply your own wine – corkage is charged at £8.00 per 75cl bottle of wine and £12.00 per 75cl bottle of champagne
Cake Stand
We are happy to make available our round cake stand.
Master of Ceremonies
A member of our management team will be delighted to guide you through the formalities on the day if required. Alternatively, we could (at an extra cost) provide a uniformed Master of Ceremonies.

The hotel has 35 en-suite rooms.
Function Rooms
The Talbot Hotel in Oundle is licensed as a venue for Marriages in pursuance of section 26 (1) (bb) of the Marriage Act 1949, as amended by the Marriage Act of 1994.
The charm and character of this historic building make a perfect setting for your Wedding Ceremony and following Reception.
The Whitwell Room, where the ceremony would take place has traditional oak panelling with two stone fireplaces (one can be lit) and is suitable for ceremonies of up to 60 guests. A room hire charge of £175.00 will apply.
The reception afterwards would be in the Westgate Suite, which boasts it’s own reception area, bar facilities,, access to the garden and can accommodate up to approx 70 guests for a sit-down meal and 100 guests for a buffet.
If you choose not to be married on the premises, we would still be delighted to look after your wedding reception banquet in a function suite of your choice depending on your number of guests.
